nce the center of a 400-acre Shenandoah Valley farm, Stoneridge Bed & Breakfast offers a glimpse of antebellum life just minutes from historic Lexington, Virginia. The original house was built in 1829 with bricks made on the property, and over the years several additions were constructed by previous owners.

Explore the grounds and you will find remnants of servants' cabin, a restored spring house and a time-worn corn crib. The house is rumored to have been a stagecoach stop for the weary traveler between Staunton and Roanoke. Continuing this history of Shenandoah Valley hospitality, innkeepers have renovated the Lexington bed and breakfast to include such modern amenities as central air conditioning, ceiling fans, private baths, and jetted tubs for two.

Just nine minutes from the center of Historic Lexington, this bed and breakfast is surrounded by thirty-two secluded acres of Virginia countryside — fields, streams and woodlands; and abundant wildflowers, butterflies and wildlife — deer, turkeys and songbirds. Sit on the spacious front porch and sip a cool drink as you enjoy the sunset over the mountains.

Step through the original Adams style double doors and find restored rooms with high ceilings, intricate moldings, elaborate mantels and heart-of-pine floors. There is a library with an extensive collection of books, satellite television and a cozy fire. A gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room, or in pleasant weather, on the patio.

In the picturesque Shenandoah Valley, Stoneridge is an uncommon bed and breakfast — a Lexington, Virginia landmark with two centuries of history to share with you, our guest.

Everything about Stoneridge Bed and Breakfast exists for your enjoyment — the sprawling grounds, panoramic view of the Shenandoah Valley mountains in the West, fine furnishings, delicious food, and relaxing atmosphere.
