ur Policies
Reservations: To confirm your reservation, we require valid credit card information or advance payment by check equal to one-night’s lodging or 50% of your total reservation, to include taxes, whichever is greater. You will receive written confirmation of your reservation by mail or e-mail.
Reserving the entire inn for a wedding, conference, or other special event can be made under special deposit and cancellation arrangements. Please inquire when booking the reservation.
Two-night minimum stay required for university event weekends and holidays. Please inquire when booking the reservation.
Rates: Rates are based on season, day of week, and double occupancy, taxes not included. For single occupancy subtract $10 per night. Full gourmet breakfast and afternoon refreshments are included. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Cancellation: A full refund, less a $15 fee, will be made when cancellation is received at least fourteen days prior to the scheduled arrival date. However, if cancellation is for a university graduation, parents weekend, reunion, or special event, notification must be received no less than thirty days prior to the first day of the reservation. When a reservation is canceled or shortened on a shorter notice, regardless of the reason, all deposits will be forfeited should we not be able to re-book the room(s) for the entire duration of the cancelled period.
We are aware of the challenges of baby-sitters/child minders as well as those post-fifty guests with parents in delicate health. We will always make a great effort to re-book, however, if not successful, those for whom we blocked out dates are ultimately responsible for room charges regardless of the reason for cancellation.
Discounts: A discount in the amount of 10% is available for active duty military. Discount requests must be made at time of reservation.
Check-In and Check Out Times: To allow for an adequate amount of time to prepare the Inn for your stay, check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. In consideration of the other guests, please plan to arrive no later than 6:00 p.m. Other times can be arranged by prior arrangement. Please telephone us if you are delayed in route or need to change your check-in time. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. It may be possible to retain the use of the room as late as 1:00 p.m. depending on reservations scheduled for the day.
Children: Responsible, parentally supervised children eight or older are welcome.
Pets: We welcome well-managed dogs with advance notice, in the James Clark Room, our first-floor room with direct outside access. Dogs are restricted to the Clark Room and outdoors. In addition, dogs left unattended in the room must be crated , and a cell phone number provided in case there is a problem. The fee is $20 for the first night and $10 for each subsequent night.
Smoking: Restricted to the front porch, patio, and grounds.

Sam, our Australian Shepherd, believes he should be our official greeter. We, however, do not agree; therefore, every effort is made to keep him in our private quarters.
